When the male doctor gaslit me into telling me everything was fine when I had a lump in my breast. This impacted my day to day life because It was challenging as a 19 year old having to advocate for my health when an experienced doctor couldn’t refer to a specialist.
I had a reoccurring bartholin cyst for years. The cyst would randomly swell up and cause severe pain, resulting in a doctor's visit to get a procedure to lance and drain the cyst.
A large tumor was found in my sigmoid colon during a colonoscopy.I had to have surgery to remove my sigmoid colon. During surgery they discovered I had endometriosis and was covered in very dense scar tissue. They had to do some reconstructive work and that led to me having an ostomy bag for three months. The tumor was precancerous and they were able to remove all of it. A year later, I had to have a full hysterectomy.
